I went for some seafood last night @ one of my fav seafood outlets...
Its a very famous one, located at AMK (thankfully, i no need to travel to east coast n vomit there), the food is cheap (compared to other seafood outlets but of coz still way ex if u compared to a plate of wanton mee) and the crabs there just awfully addictive...
The downside of tt place is tt, its damn crowded every single day! Be it weekdays or weekends... You die die haf to wait 2 bloody hrs for ur food... 1 hr for q-ing, 1 hr for waiting at ur table... But then, those who had tried waited willingly every single day so u can imagine how gd is their food...
They operate from 5 to 11pm...
We went earlier yest, coz we didnt book (yes, kopitiam also got booking one, coz told u its very crowded, u call at 5+, they will tell u its fully booked!!!)...
We reached there at 515pm, luckily got seats, then our food came at 6pm...
Their signatures dishes are Claypot Crab (better than e best XO fish head bee hoon i heard but still haven tried), Creamy butter Crab (tis is e dish tt made me come back, dun forget to order e sweet buns and dip into e sauce), Fried Toufu (tis is another amazing dish, e toufu melts in ur mouth, absolutely delicious)...
I also like their fried mian xian... In fact, all their dishes are good, jus a matter u can eat all or not...
We (4 persons) ordered 7 dishes yest, Chili Crab (nice!), Creamy Butter Crab, Fried Mian Xian, Sweet Buns, vege wif abalone mushrooms (tastes exactly like abalone), fried toufu, yam basket (i duno wat u call in el, a famous chinese reastaurant dish, the yam basket is fried, then all e ingredients in e container)...
I was so full yest... But satisfied, even though i had tummy upset later on... Lol...
So if u r into seafood, and dun wan to go restaurants coz they r too ex, and u got car (ok la, we cn take cab too, i duno take wat bus)... Then let me noe, i bring u go there eat... Each person usually less than $30, and very full after tt... So much food for 20+, 2 types to crab somemore where to find?
Afterwards, i wanted to bring Pappy go out... So i headed back home to bring him... We decided to go seletar reservoir... I wasnt able to enjoy e whole thing coz i suffered fr motion sickness and tummy upset... But i thot Pappy long time never go out liao, so i bear wif e pain... I am so noble... Lol...
I wanted to puke when we reached e coffeeshop, even though it was only 5 mins, i wanted to puke when i reached home to bring him, i wanted to vomit when i reached e reservoir and i nearly puke when i got home... My tummy ache was pain like hell, i was never in so much pain before (for stomachache)...
They took me on a different route, we went Jalan kayu (prata there), and enter e gates of seletar camp... And then, e amazing thing happened...
I haf never taken tis route be4... So i was so surprised...
When we entered tt place, it was like entering Hobbiton in sg... There was so much green, enough to seem tt it expands under e horizon... There were many greens, trees, small waterspots (like miniature ponds, i can even imagine hobbits playing there)... If i was the one driving, and feelin well, i would haf gotten off and taken photos for u to see... Coz i dun believe myself too...
While i was looking at grassy landscapes (not those big flat grasslands, but full of ups n downs, and curves, and humps tt appeared like roof of hobbit holes), and happen to pass by one waterspot, across e horizon i saw e flaring, red sun setting... The sky was in orange n red, it was damn gorgeous, coz for once nothing was blocking e view, a even better place to view sunset than at the reservoir itself...
I was so blownaway... But too bad lah, dun think i will get e chance to go tt route during sunset again...
SZ, we go explore one day leh, i wan to take pics... I duno how to go tt route, but i noe how to go in reverse... Hopefully i find those places...
We also passed by the second sg airport... The airport which was e main airport during 60s, or 70s, cant remember...
Everything was jus so magical, jus tt my tummy ache pain transcended every moment then... Lol... Hope i can show u e pics one day and let u see wat i meant...
If i am a director, i would haf gone there, though i doubt seletar camp would give me e permission... Lol... One of e rare sights in sg i swear, nothing like it ive seen... Of coz u dun compare to other foreign big countries lah, but to find jus one small area in sg like tis is like spotting some treasures...
Precious, my love...
Oh i forgot to mention, Pappy puked when he reached there, as usual... I doubt he can overcome his motion sickness like his mother...
