Gambling & Genting

Speakin of gambling... Tis 2 conversations happened recently... One is during e last time I went Genting, wif my mum, big sis n bro in law few mths ago...

Im a Genting lover, coz i go there 1 or 2 times a yr... No, im not into gambling or casino, i dun gamble at all, not even balckjack... Haha... I hate gamblers n gambling, so dun even try to ask me go play mahjong, i will be seriously turned off, be it guy or gal, fren or foe or strangers...

Y?

Coz i haf a mum who gambles her time away... She always tell me tt her life is miserable, n e only thing tt will make her happy is to gamble, so we shdnt stop her... Watever... I hate gambling so much coz i lost my only home then, when i was 13, to her gambling... Ever since then, i had to live under e roof of others... I even slept at playgrds alone be4 when e landlords i had were sooooo... Nah, dun wan to tok about them...

Dun even undermine e power of mahjong alone... Mahjong is not a few bucks game to kill time like wat most housewives would defend... Of coz its not only mahjong tt she gambled on, its those undergrd casinos in sg tt took our house away... Yes ppl, we haf alot of undergrd casinos already, and its been there ever since im young... Raidings couldnt help, coz they set up one after another...

Ppl has been gambling... Wif or wifout e casino in e IR... Even my paralysed father is betting on 4D $100 weekly... I love e IR n e design, tt way, i would haf new hotels to stay, new theme parks, new attractions to go... Ideally, i of coz wld hope there will not be a casino inside... But, as far as im concerned, i will never step in out of own will... Besides, y shd i pay $100 to get in anyway... U can always blacklist ur family members as well...

Lets tok about genting, for jus 80 ringit, u can get a to n fro coach (a gd coach somemore) n a night of hotel stay... Besides, its jus a few hrs of comfortable ride away, though terrible for me as i haf motion sickness... My mum's going next wk 1 night stay for jus 40 ringit, its a promotion... Wif prices like these... Who e hell willl wan to gamble in e IR?

$100 sing to ringit will be about $220, wif 220 ringit, i can stay at genting for 2 nights, wif a gd coach, eat, do some shoppin n even play unlimted at e 2 theme parks...

Anyways, tts not wat i wan to tok about...

So e 4 of us were having dinner when my mum suddenly had tis idea...

Mum: We bring her go in casino lah, since she never go in be4...

Me: Dun wan...

Mum: Y dun wan?

Me: Go in for wat, i dun gamble...

Mum: Aiyah, go play play lah... Go in see see at least, u so suay ku (mountain tortoise) n stupid never go in be4... U sure kena laugh by ppl...

Me: Dun wan lah, i dun like, u all go urself, i go walk ard...

Mum: Wah, see how bian tai (pervert) she is! So pervert, now so young start to haf old virgin attitude (lao chu nu), she crazy one... Duno y my daughter like tt...

Me: ...

Ok, i knoe im still underage... But i look old remember? So its not a prob to go in, jus tt i find it ptless, n i dun understand y refusing to enter casino means im pervert... Besides, it stinks inside coz they smoke inside... M'sia dun haf e cannot smoke in public places law, u can smoke in e hotel lobby as well... Yucks!

Another conversation, when we were out in a car about a mth plus ago...

Big Sis's fren: Celes, u play mahjong bo? Next time can play together!

Mum: Aiyah, u ask her for wat, she so stupid duno how to play mahjong...

Me: I dun gamble...

Big Sis's fren: Cannot lidat say(to me), learn to play mahjong is to entertain old ppl, next time can accompany ur mum play when shes bored or ur parents in law...

Ya wat crap...

Mum: Aiyah, she no use one lah, she dun gamble at all one... Sigh... Duno y my daughter so pervert, no use, dun gamble... Duno y she so pervert... Pervert... Useless... Bian Tai!

Paiseh ah, coz she use too many bian tai words i got to tok back... Rude to mum i knoe, dun preach at me...

Me: U then pervert one leh... Ppl raise their children and thk god if they dun gamble, n appreciate it, u ah, children dun gamble u scold them pervert...

Mum: ...

Nvm, anyways i will be going to Genting wif Shuzhen tis coming May... Managed to convince my mum not to follow, coz she did last yr, and we didnt enjoy our trip... Very excited, will take lots of pics... Will be buying e tickets next week...

I like to go Genting for few reasons...

1) Ridiculously Cheap
For 3D 2N, u will never find a better deal in sg, even chalet is so much more ex... I like to eat International Breakfast Buffet at their famous cafe... Only 15 ringit each, where to find in sg? Normal sg hotels already at least $15 sing each...

2) Familiar
Genting is one place i knoe almost inside out outside in... Or at least, familiar enough to lead... I knoe wats there, where to walk etc... So no insecurities...

3) Safe
Genting of coz is relatively safer than other places... As long as i dun gamble n wear heavy jewellries... We wanted to go KL, but 2 girls, eerrr, dun wish to appear in headlines...

4) Not so boring compared to last time
After e ravamped Genting, wif 2 themeparks, they morhped into a shoppin hub, so not as boring as few yrs back... Now still got many places to shop shop... Sometimes their clothes like diesel, U2, Giordano, Blush, etc even haf sales, and its cheaper than buying in sg... Even though its so called high class tourist attraction, wif some scouting ard, u can still get some nice n gd deals...

5) Weather
Ahh... How will i forget... No pimples, no oily faces... E weather's great... Not as freezing as yrs old, but its still cool enough... Breathtakin views, breathin in e clouds all makes it like a paradise... Well, almost... N e staffs there r super frendly, if i was to find a place, i can jus grab any loitering staff, n they always knoe...


But one thing for sure, if u r e type who r particular about hotels, dun stay at 1st World Hotel, it will make u feel like never going back again... But then, its super cheap, one night only 72 ringit... Catered for poor gamblers actually... But no choice im on budget trip, so i shall bear wif it...

My fav is Resort Hotel.. Medium budget, only $100+ ringit... But its always full if u book 2 mths before... If u haf lots of money n not scared of spooky or horror stuffs like creeps or finding a corpse under e mattress u sleep in, definately choose back Genting Hotel n Highland Hotel... Pricin same as Sg hotels...

Shuzhen told me she misses Genting, so Genting shall be it then... Cant wait to breath e on top of moutain amist e clouds fresh air... I had a miserable time there last yr, hope tis trip will compensate wat i felt...

Im not sayin Genting is e best place to go... Jus saying for a budget tight me, tts as far a great deal for me... For jus 100 sing, u cant expect to see e whole world right? Heh...
