After e idol hype, following it was Channel U's Superstar singing competition, which i had asked numerous times of Shuzhen to join... She didnt, of coz... Coz it was too large scale... I even told her if she wins and become a singer, i wan free CDs...
Anyways, i watched e 1st epi of e 1st audions jus now... E show was disappointing, it wasnt super funny like Sg idol... And e no. of talents were somewat lackin, but e 4 blind participants somewat left an impression, but it wasnt as moving as Sg idol, i actually weeped for some sad stories when i saw Sg idol then...
I was so confident Shuzhen will get in e semi at least...
But e show is more critical, e judges r less forgiving and less professional, where they haf many many different judges on different days... E show is clear cut, they had already put it on e table... They r not lookin for talents, they r lookin for stars...
U can sing like Zhang Hui Mei or Coco Lee, but if u look like Ru Hua, u can pack ur stuffs and go home... So bottom line is, Pretty/Handsome, Slim and can sing... So i guess after all these, i will be expecting alot more of e winner... If not, they r simply eating their own words...
I also watched Eye For A Guy 2 afterward... Its e 2nd last epi, again, its btween a really nice el speakin chinese guy, or a gd lookin, rich half german dude... Dennis has character n poise, and she is independant, sensible n more mature as well... Not like e one fr e prev season, i couldnt even remember her name, Rachel? I duno, i only knew she was voted sexiest female in fhm mag 2004... She displayed a totally shallow side of her on e show, but most say, shes like tt anyway in real life... Oh well...
So anyhow, tt really nice guy called Howard, has been extremely sweet, romantic but modest... He's a chatty guy... Able to crack up smooth conversations, but when he wanted to confess his feelings, he actually genuinely flustered... So he ended up recording a video of confession which actually moved me... Only set back for him is, hes abit shorter than e gal... Yup, basically, tts it...
And tis wk, they spent a full day date at my fav, Genting!!! He made a bk called a fairy tale, and he had a story, drawings, poems, etc... All done by himself... I am so impressed, even though e drawings n colorings werent fantastic, but it certainly blew me away... And she was, indeed... He had such a magical date wif her... It was so fairy tale like and i was moved to tears...
Oh well, results out next wk anyways... We'll see...
